My life is so busy as of recent with the demands and responsibilities of “paying the bills,” “being a good spouse,” and “being a good parent,” that I find it very difficult to find time for working on “my heart’s desire” of “self-actualizing my dreams.”
This brings me to my question of you; do you have any “advice” for me on how you manage this aspect of your own life? I would appreciate very much hearing your “point of view.” You can post comment here, on my facebook account, or even email me.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Charles Stewart

Hi Charles – the only way I get this balance in my life is by journalling. The busier I am, the more I need to journal – and when I don’t spend the time doing this, life spirals out of control and I feel stressed. Some of my friends say I have 48 hours in my day where most people have 24, and I do pack a lot in/do a lot. By spending time writing in my journal – not using it as a diary, but writing how I feel, and allowing my thinking to flow, it opens up my mind and spirit to see patterns, to allow insights to appear and gives me courage to make changes. Little wonder I’m starting to run courses on this 🙂
Thank you for responding Caroline; I do appreciate it very much.
There is indeed merit in what you say, and I will be reflecting more upon it in the days to come…
All the best,
~ Charles
I have been thinking this over Chuck. I would suggest weighing out the importance and time alotted for each life task! God, Self, Family relationships, work-buisness, hobbies,etc.. Next take it to your higher power/God in prayer. He has a way of letting us know in his own way wich path is lacking our attention/time. Bottom line, we are not in controll, god is! Although he doesn’t want a bunch of Robots running around so he gives us free will! I don’t know if this is helpful cousin but your insightful wisdom has become one of my possitive weekly readings. Thanks for the time you put into this site. I truely enjoy your thoughfulness and possitive contribution towards lifes journey for me.
Your Cuz, Annabanana
Thank you kindly for taking the time to respond to this Anna; it is very good information. I will spend some time reflecting upon it for insight into my “situation.”
While you and I “walk a different path to god,” I very much understand and appreciate “your position.”
And yes, your comments about my site postings are very helpful to me, in that it gives me positive and constructive feedback which is very empowering to me; it helps me to realize that my time spent is “well-served.”
All the best to you Anna, and enjoy the changes coming into your life,
~ Your cousin Chuck 🙂
Dear Charles,
This is an issue that many busy people have to contend with and I offer the following assistance.
When first on a spiritual journey it’s easy to become fixated on all of the recommended practices of prayer, meditation etc., that are recommended by the spiritual teachings you are following. Being inconsistent with your practice adds a whole set of additional issues, mainly guild, with which to contend.
Here’s a work-around that may be the answer you seek. Be grateful, joyous, mindful (pick anything that you desire to add to this list) and connected to Spirit as you go through the daily demands and responsibilities of “paying the bills,” “being a good spouse”, and “being a good parent.” Doing the dishes and or the laundry, for example, can be prayerful, heart-centered and a true expression of gratitude. Set your intent before you begin the task at hand and you will be amazed at the transformations that will result.
When you forget to do this, and chances are you will, give yourself a break and reset you goal and try again. The simplest things can often be the most challenging, ’tis true. Keep working on it and soon it will become a well-engrained natural order and habitual way of life.
Be kind and gentle with yourself in the meantime.
Blessings,
Janice (rhymes with Denise)
Thank you for taking the time to share this with me Janice, I really enjoyed it.
I will do it justice by taking some time to reflect upon it.
Enjoy the changes coming into your life,
~ Charles
